He examined a puzzling problem: how to infiltrate the soil was paint on trucks mounted on the system – and how to stop it. Small particles caused a large and expensive problem. Almost one in three trucks had to be reworked because of dirty color, at a cost of a few dollars to a few hundred dollars per vehicle.
