(Australia’s first bank and oldest public companies), Telstra (Australia’s largest telecommunications carriers), Invest Australia (the national government investment agency) included, and the Department of State and Regional Development of New South Wales , sought to Australia as a place with strategic proximity to Asian markets to position and increase its attractiveness as a destination for foreign direct investment.
