Provides an overview of the Coca-Cola system in Chile and focuses on the Coca-Cola Foundation Chile (CCFCH), a nonprofit organization dedicated to education. Created in 1992 with donations from Coca-Cola de Chile SA (CCCH) and the Embotelladora Andina Bottling Company SA, Coca-Cola Embonor SA and Coca-Cola Polar SA, the foundation is now facing a dilemma expansion in the main program, the TAVEC Laboratories. Under this program, donated CCFCH interactive scientific laboratories to public schools to help as a way to teach them physics, chemistry and biology. Every donation will cost about $ 60,000. In December 2004, Eduardo Romo has been to simplify Corporate Relations Manager at CCCH and General Manager of CCFCH, a proposal for revision of the laboratories, reduce costs, and thus, so that more of them will be implemented in schools throughout Chile. Focuses on the decision and an analysis of the pros and cons of the proposal and the overall role of social initiative for the Coca-Cola system in Chile.
