Genzyme Corporation is in the midst of planning their new headquarters, which incorporates many innovative green building features. After learning that the building would, as planned, probably earn LEED Silver rating, an intermediate points in the LEED Green Building Rating System, the CEO charged the building team with exploring options that allow the building to the highest rating, LEED Platinum would deserve. Five additional green building features are described, and the students are asked to analyze and recommend which, if any, to pursue these features on their costs to make the probability of LEED credits, and determined their influence on the building environmental performance.
