The company had the Industrial Metrology from Carl Zeiss its traditional strength in high precision measuring machines, a universal measuring tool, which had been widely used since its introduction in the mid-1970s. The market had a number of complex diversification of competition as metrology manufacturer introduced new sensor and measurement technology, and how some of their customers were at a different style of measurement instruct speed and integration into production systems.
