Internationalization of emerging market multinationals is a new phenomenon in importance in the world economy. This international expansion of a new generation of businesses has provided established theories and practices in the field of international business (Cuervo Cazurra, 2007) in question. This article deals with the question of whether or not it is something from these emerging companies and their expansion abroad to learn. Focusing on the international trajectories of four Brazilian multinationals (ie, Odebrecht, Embraer, Stefanini and Marco Polo), this study analyzed their strategies and management processes during and after the recent economic crisis in terms of internationalization. Our qualitative field research suggests that the orbits of these Brazilian multinationals are quite unstructured and evolve in response to the opportunities they. In the international markets It seems all four companies in our sample shared a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a high level of motivation, their international operations despite the crisis and the obstacles they faced to expand. Our results and suggestions in relation to teaching should provide valuable implications for multinational managers from other emerging countries by a better understanding of how Brazilian multinationals to expand internationally, with the economic crisis and manage relationships with local and foreign institutions.
