The case of “Mother Earth – Great design, great values” are used in a competition and strategy, of course, to illustrate a firm use a focused differentiation strategy and employed to the growth and implementation strategies of the company to explore. The case also has a special focus on the bottom of the pyramid and can be used to study issues of sustainability in terms of electives Corporate Strategy and the Environment and Social Enterprises. In addition, the case may also be used in entrepreneurship and marketing courses. The case describes the journey of Mother Earth (ME) since its inception as a company that believes in social sustainability and aims to discuss strategic challenges at the end of 2010. The main focus in the beginning was use of market mechanisms to create demand for Indian handicrafts in India as well as worldwide. The export markets proved in terms of the demand and the financial downturn exacerbated matters inconsistent, therefore, to expand its focus on domestic ME. The focus was now on giving a new craft products, contemporary identity with better design and increased benefits. ME was achieved significant growth in the last few years, but was still to turn profitable. With investments of Future Group, the company is on a rapid expansion in the local market with significant efforts on building the brand and what it stands ready ME.
