Nanpo (Holdings) Ltd., a Hong Kong-based Chinese food distributor, for its IPO plans on the stock exchange of Hong Kong. Nanpo was produced in 1981 with the mission, the sole distributor of poultry, freshwater fish, livestock, fruits and vegetables in Guangdong, the province on the border of China was founded. Over the years, an admirable Nanpo market share in many food categories and distribution channel of 500 distributors has built. In 1993, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the People’s Republic of China confirmed the sole distributor status. The management of Nanpo has an aggressive growth strategy plan, the new food processing facilities and forward integration into retail and restaurant chains has developed. Nanpo has turned to the capital markets of Hong Kong to finance future growth. Nanpo management has decided to float 25% of the company and has hired a local merchant bank, Hinson capital, as the lead underwriter. Three weeks before the planned IPO is Jack Yang, director of the Nanpo, again checking the details of pricing.
