The case focuses on José María Fuster, Chief Information Officer (CIO) and its perspective in the use of IT to integrate Abbey. The following questions are examined: (1) the value of IT, (2) the generation of synergies in M ​​& A, and (3) the prioritization of IT-related options of comparing two different realities.
