In autumn 1991, Signet was just recovering from the crisis in the property market in the late 1980s. In an effort to firms’ efficiency in dealing with the huge amounts of information Signet care, especially with regard to their new credit card to improve business, decided Signet source of all information goods type activities. Signet goal was to establish a standardized, reliable, outsourced enterprise-wide processing system. Given the amount of this type of work that was already done ABC information system for much larger banking institutions, Signet believed would be the perfect complement to the technology of an organization already well capture on the learning curve.
