Here is a SocGen lecture by Rob Lorenzi that I have not seen anywhere else. It is a Case Study Analysis and Navigation Tool. In this lecture Rob describes this navigation tool as follows: “We can also classify ships into various categories and follow them. The most suitable ship for each expedition is identified from the current state of affairs of each particular world. At that point, if the expedition decides to go to the next world, he/she can navigate by the time table and choose a suitable ship for the expedition.” We often hear about this technique of sailing. However, what I want to point out is that one of the top 10 SocGen Case Study Solutions on the Internet contains a very similar concept to the above described case study.

A Case Study Solution that is posted at sgung.com and is entitled, “The Rogue Trader” has the same format. It presents the case study in an approach that is similar to that in Case Study Analysis and Navigation. This approach introduces us to the essential elements of the navigation strategy that would have been a necessity for any explorer when he was in need of a suitable ship to sail to a new place. Here is how the Case Study Solution approaches the problem of finding the perfect ship to accompany the adventurer on his travels.

In other words, he wants to have a ship that has been sailed on the seas and needs to be fitted with all the requisite navigational equipments for safe voyage to a new place.

This navigator was a well-known pirate who had secured a pirate ship and was looking for a ship that could accompany him on a voyage to a new place. To use a pirate ship is just a step to achieving the goal of finding a ship that can take the adventurer to a new area.

If you wanted to take part in the exploration adventure, then you needed to look for a pirate ship. But before you go out and search for a pirate ship, why don’t you first look for a ship that meets all the requirements? Well, this may seem impossible to some people.

They are satisfied with the experience they have had in the field and do not have any need for a new, enhanced experience because they already have a small experience on the sea. But, if you consider that there are some persons who are looking for that kind of experience, then you might think differently and start looking for a new pirate ship.

And they always find some which they believe has everything they need. So, if you are one of these people, try to decide how many trial trips and how many ships you are willing to travel to the sea with. to get that thrill you really want and be a pirate captain and explore the seas.
